I’ve been hearing so many good things about Kat Von D tattoo liner I wanted to try it out and thought I’d do a review. I got it from Debenhams it’s was £17 and ever the bargain hunter I got a free mini lipstick with it. I got it in black trooper.
One of the things I love about Kat Von D make up is that it’s all vegan. I’m someone that loves the idea of going completely vegan and I’m trying to transition slowly and one of the easy transitions I think we can all make is a cruelty free make up bag. I know the packaging isn’t really a big deal on an eyeliner but it’s really cute and the print hasn’t worn off like other eyeliners I’ve got.
One of the things that’s really different about it is the brush. A lot of eyeliners have got a felt tip type brush but this has a thin flexible brush so you can get a really fine line. If you want it thicker you do have to build it up a bit more but you get really good precision when you’re doing wings.
It’s a bit more shimmery than other eyeliners I’ve used and not really as black, you can build the colour up to make it darker. It dries super fast, probably the fattest drying eyeliner I’ve used.
Probably the best thing about it is that it stays put. Shameful confession time, I don’t take my make up off to go to the gym. I’ve done full Brazilian jiu jitsu classes, spin classes even a 10k run and it’s still looked fresh. If your like me and want to do your make up before you go out and forget about it for the rest of the night it’s great. It’s not going to smudge or end up looking like you’ve got panda eyes.
I’d definitely recommend it and think it’s worth paying a bit extra just for the fact that it stays on for so long, I move around a lot at work and I don’t have to check on it or even think about it all day.
It takes some getting use to when you first start applying it because the brush is so different to other eyeliners I’ve used but once you get the hang of it you can get a much cleaner line with it.
All in all I love it and definitely will be my go to from now on… 10 out of 10
